Assessment of Irrigation Water Quality Parameters of Nyandungu Wetlands

نویسندگان

چکیده

The present paper sought to assess some physico-chemical parameters above permissible guidelines of irrigation water standard, the study was carried during establishment Ecotourism Park. field survey design used and it accompanied by laboratory tests analyze levels in both seasons (dry season wet seasons) for bodies as well groundwater. physical chemical analysed were Sodium Adsorption Ratio (SAR), Soluble Percentage (SSP) Magnesium (MAR) Kelly Index (KI) Total Hardness (TH), pH, Electric conductivity (EC), Dissolved Solids (TDS). Our analyzed samples fall into limit quality, mean values electrical high. knowledge from this will be Nyandungu recreation park irrigating with quality on gardens surrounding local community.

Screening-Level Assessment of Water Quality Improvement from Wetlands

BACKGROUND: Water quality improvement is potentially an important function of wetlands. Mechanisms that occur in wetlands, such as sedimentation, filtration, adsorption, precipitation, decomposition, and uptake and metabolism, can act to reduce concentrations of problematic water quality constituents flowing into wetlands. Similarly, streams, ponds, and lakes can act as natural treatment system...
